About Me

Hello, My name is Tammy!
I am a 37 year old Native Woman (Ojibway), along with my partner. We have two children; a boy 13yrs and a girl 17yrs. We live in Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada. As a child in the 70's I did not grow up with my culture. I have been beading since I was in my early 20's and have been taken up sewing and making regalias. My community and surroundings have taught me much and are to credit with these skills and abilities I now have. I am thankful to all who have helped me reach this level of knowledge. I realize that not everyone has someone to learn from, nor has the time to do so. In our busy lives of this modern world, we need each other more then ever.

My Inspiration to create Regalias.

My community hosts Annual Pow Wows. My children have been dancing at Pow Wows for many years. I got the inspiration to create regalias when my eldest child was 5 - she wanted to be a Jingle Dress Dancer.
